Galle Day Tour
The finest Dutch colonial fort in Asia — a living UNESCO city of ramparts, boutiques, and ocean sunsets
关于本次一日游
Galle Fort is one of the best-preserved examples of a fortified colonial city in South Asia. Built by the Portuguese in 1588 and massively expanded by the Dutch in 1663, it is still a living city — narrow lanes lined with boutique hotels, gem shops, colonial mansions turned galleries, and cafes whose terraces overlook the Indian Ocean. A slow half-day in the fort, then an afternoon on the palm-fringed beach at Unawatuna just five minutes away.
